1. Summer Clinics – Register by July 17th for Lakeville
MSH is offering Summer Hockey Clinics for special hockey registered players. These are skill based, skating, passing, and shooting drills. Each session might end with some sort of a game, but more than likely will not be a typical scrimmage. Cost of attending any or all of the clinic sessions is $40.
MSH has been working hard to find sponsors for these clinics to make them even more special. All players that register by Wednesday, July 17th will receive a jersey in time for the Lakeville clinic. Players who register by Wednesday, September 18th will receive a jersey for the St. Louis Park clinic. Information on the St. Cloud clinic will be coming soon. The jerseys are handed out at the clinic.

St. Louis Park Clinic at SLP Rec Center (West Rink) - Sundays, October 6th - 27th at 10:30 or 11:30 depending on Skill Level.

2. USA Hockey Neck Guard Requirement and Strauss Neck/Wrist Laceration Protection Shirt Pre-Order - by June 30th
Starting August 1, 2024, USA Hockey is requiring all players to wear neck laceration protection (neck guards or shirts) for all players aged 17 and under (except for authorized and approved medical exemptions). Neck guards are strongly recommended for players aged 18 and over. Minnesota Special Hockey follows all rules and recommendations set forth by USA Hockey.
Strauss is now taking pre-orders for the Strauss Tek Shirts with neck/wrist laceration protection at a discount for MSH players. These shirts will have the MSH logo on the front. All pre-orders must be completed through the link below (not in store) by June 30th. Strauss is also taking orders on Bauer Neckprotect Shirts through this link.

3. Summer Picnic Information
Summer is here! Time to think about getting together to catch up on how everyone is enjoying the "waiting for hockey to start" season!

Edina location is at the Rosland Park Picnic Shelter (near the playground), 4300 West 66th Street. It is on Sunday, July 28th from 4:30 - 6:30 (note change in start time from the previous newsletter -- team calendars reflect the correct time). Dinner will be served. Please RSVP for this picnic by Monday, July 22th.

St. Cloud location is at Sauk Rapids Municipal Park Pavilion, 1001 River Ave N. Sauk Rapids. The picnic will take place on Sunday, September 8th from 12:00 - 3:00pm. Lunch will be served. Please RSVP for this picnic by Friday August 30th.

4. MN Special Hockey 2023-24 End of Season Survey - complete by July 1st
Minnesota Special Hockey wants your input on the 2023-2024 season! Your experience, opinions and input are very valuable so please help by completing the MSH 2023-24 End of Season Survey. The survey can be completed multiple times to include everyone in the family involved with MSH. Please fill out the survey for each family member (for each player, each volunteer, each parent/guardian).
All players who complete the survey by July 1st will be entered in a drawing for a signed Brock Faber jersey! Only players who were registered for the 2023-24 season are eligible for the drawing. To be entered in the jersey drawing, make sure to enter the player's name in the survey and not complete it anonymously.
