2. New Year’s Skate 2024 – Register by Dec. 22nd

Minnesota Special Hockey has a couple hours of extra ice on Sunday, December 31st and Monday, January 1st.  A few coaches said that they would be able to lead in order to provide a little extra skating opportunity for MSH players.

Players that require 1-on-1 assistance on the ice or the bench are required to make sure there is someone there to help.

Players must register by Friday, December 22nd to attend one of these events.  The B and C level players are invited to skate at Burnsville (Rink 2) on December 31st from 11:15 - 12:15.  The A and B level players are invited to skate at MN Made in Edina from 11:00 - 12:20.

Volunteers, if you are able to attend, please register!  Or you can email jane@mnspecialhockey.org.

3. Hockey Day Lakeville Registration – Register by Dec. 22nd

MN Special Hockey has been invited (again) to skate at Hockey Day Lakeville.  This is a great opportunity to showcase the MN Special Hockey organization and will be a lot of fun!

MN Special Hockey will skate on Saturday, January 13th starting around 5:00 (exact time is TBD) at Ames Arena, 19900 Ipava Ave, Lakeville, MN 55044.  If you register, please commit to attending.  The deadline to register is December 22nd.

More information (time of the game, off-ice events and fun activities, etc.) will be provided closer to the event.  If too many players register, the Lakeville team will have priority and a drawing will be held for the remaining spots.

Please note that, like last year, there will be lights and louder sounds and music at the start of the MSH skate time.  Players can wait to enter the rink until after the lights/music/announcements and enter the ice after.

4. USA v. Canada Women's Hockey -- Feb. 11th

One of the fiercest rivalries in hockey - women's Team USA vs. Canada - will face off at the Xcel Energy Center on Sunday, February 11th at 1:00pm.   MN Special Hockey players and families can attend the game at a reduced rate of $25 per ticket if we have enough people interested in attending.

If you would like to attend, please email Holly at holly.tchida@mnspecialhockey.org for more information.
