1. MSH BOARD OF DIRECTORS - OPEN POSITIONS - APPLY BY JULY 26TH
Minnesota Special Hockey is looking for three volunteers to fill vacancies on its Board of Directors. The three open board positions are: Ice Coordinator, Marketing Coordinator, and Equipment Coordinator. All positions are 3-year terms and begin after being voted in at the annual meeting on July 30, 2023.
Minnesota Special Hockey relies on its volunteers and each of these positions is very important in the successful operation of Minnesota Special Hockey. Descriptions of each position follow. Ice Schedule Coordinator
The Ice Coordinator coordinates the ice schedule for all MN Special Hockey events. Responsibilities include completing the game schedule, working with team managers to secure ice and coordinating ice for practices and games, assisting in rescheduling or sharing ice as needed, and helping team managers identify new ice when a new team is forming.
Marketing Coordinator
The goal of the Marketing Coordinator is to increase skater registrations through marketing programs. Responsibilities include managing the MN Special Hockey website and acting as its Webmaster and coordinating display and marketing materials for events.
Equipment Coordinator
The goal of the Equipment Coordinator is to assist players in obtaining equipment needed, especially helping new players who may be new to the sport of hockey and need assistance with equipment. The Equipment Coordinator would help with securing and distributing equipment and equipment donations.
2. SUMMER PICNIC / ANNUAL MEETING REGISTRATION
Summer is here! Time to think about getting together to catch up on how everyone is enjoying the "waiting for hockey to start" season!
- Edina location is at the Rosland Park Picnic Shelter (near the playground), 4300 West 66th Street. It is on Sunday, July 30th from 5:00 - 6:30. Dinner will be served. Please RSVP for this picnic by Monday, July 24th.
- Alexandria location is at City Park, 130 City Park Road. The picnic will take place on Sunday, August 13th from 12:00 - 3:00pm. Lunch will be served. Please RSVP for this picnic by Tuesday August 1st.
More picnic/annual meeting details:
- Raffle prizes - you must register to be part of the raffle.
- Board elections will take place at both locations. Totals will be tallied and announced after the events.

3. SUMMER CLINICS - NEW ST. CLOUD LOCATION ADDED
MSH is offering Summer Hockey Clinics for Special Hockey registered players. These are skill based, skating, passing, and shooting drills. Each session might end with some sort of a game, but more than likely will not be a typical scrimmage.
MSH has been working hard to find sponsors for these clinics to make them even more special. The registration deadline has passed for players to receive a jersey in time for the Lakeville clinic, but players who register by August 20th will receive a jersey in time for the St. Cloud clinic and players who register by September 3rd will receive a jersey for the St. Louis Park clinic. (Players can still register to attend the Lakeville clinic even though the jersey deadline has passed). The cost of the jersey is $40 (collected at registration time). The jersey will be really cool and well worth the $40 along with a lot of quality ice time! The jerseys are handed out at the clinic.

Lakeville Clinic at Ames Arena (Rink 2) - Sundays, July 30th - August 27th at 3:00.
St. Cloud Clinic at MAC Ice Arena - September 10th at 2:00 - 3:15pm and September 17th at 10:45am - 12:00pm.
St. Louis Park Clinic at SLP Rec Center (West Rink) - Sundays, October 1st - 29th at 10:30 or 11:30 depending on Skill Level. October 8th ice time is at 10:00 or 11:00 (East Rink).
With every registration of this type you will receive a confirmation email once your registration is complete. If you do not receive a confirmation email you did not complete the registration correctly.
