Game Information

The HF Festival Team vs. Team games (Friday, June 2nd and Saturday, June 3rd) are posted on the MSH website (and app) calendars.  Each team must coordinate their own bench and on-ice help for these games.  Please email Jane Cashin (jane@mnspecialhockey.org) if this is an issue.

The Sunday Jamboree style games player assignments are in the attachment.  The game times on Sunday are 11:00, 12:15 and 1:30.  There are sign-ups for coaches, bench help and additional on-ice help for these games.  See the links below in Volunteer Information.

Volunteer Information

MSH is looking for volunteers for all of the 18 games over the weekend.  Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your time slot and check in at the MSH Table on the lower level as you enter the rinks (not the Hendrickson Foundation Table).

All coach, bench and on-ice help must be registered with MN Special Hockey!

Every game should have:

Two referees - must be MSH registered.  Rules will be provided at the games.

Extra on-ice help - Help with players moving around ice, keep the game moving, set up an occasional goal (at the lower levels).

Announcer - Make any announcements prior to game, rosters provided, announce goals, do play by play.  Try to mention all names on the roster, make it fun!

Music - Play music at warm up and in between play. Bring a music device, we should have cords set up for use, bring one if you have it.

Timekeeper  - Set clock for 60 minutes at start, sound horn at 2:00 minute intervals for line changes.

***If you feel you can do Announcer, Music, Timekeeper responsibilities, feel free to sign up for all three (or two).

MSH loves when families step up to volunteer.  When special opportunities become available, MSH will look to these families that have volunteered their time!

Free Stick for Players!!!

More exciting news!   All registered MSH players who participate in on-ice games at the Hendrickson Foundation Festival will receive a free Bauer "Intermediate" hockey stick.  The sticks will be given out to each attending MSH player during the Medal Awards Ceremony after each team's last game on Saturday.

Please thank Bauer and The Hendrickson Foundation for the generous offer for our athletes!

What is an “Intermediate” composite hockey stick?

Like all composite sticks, intermediate sticks are made from various lightweight, high-tech materials designed to improve flexibility, kick point, and energy transfer. Intermediate hockey sticks are the size between junior and senior, with a thinner shaft.    As a rule of thumb, players 4’6”–5’3” and in the 120–160 lb. weight range, should use an intermediate hockey stick.
