MN Wild Special Hockey players and families have the opportunity to participate in the Minnesota Diversified Hockey Night at a Wild game in St. Paul. This is a terrific opportunity for us to spread the word about Special Hockey, with an opportunity to skate during 2nd intermission and maybe even be a "bench buddy" during Wild warmups! Please note that not everyone who registers will get chosen to be a skater and/or bench buddy. There will be a drawing if more players register than we have tickets.
Also, this game is at 1:00 on a Sunday and many Special Hockey teams have a game that day. Players and coaches will need to commit to attending the Wild game if they are chosen to participate.
Event details:
Date: Sunday, February 26th. Arrive by 11:00 am. This is the time everyone who is participating must arrive into the arena. Late arrivals may miss out. The game starts at 1:00 pm.
Where: Xcel Energy Center, St. Paul
What: MN Wild vs. Columbus Blue Jackets
Activities available for Special Hockey players:
Players/coaches for scrimmage - 12 skaters + 2 coaches (scrimmage will occur during 2nd intermission)
Bench Buddies (on the Wild bench during warmups) - 4 skaters (drawn at random from those 12 who are skating)
The Minnesota Whitecaps, Minnesota's professional women's hockey team, has invited MN Special Hockey to attend their February 18th game versus the Buffalo Beauts. Special Hockey players will have an opportunity to scrimmage (if we have enough players) or do some run relays on ice during the 2nd intermission. Everyone needs a ticket to attend and tickets are $15 each. Tickets must be purchased no later than Monday, February 12th to get the reduced rate.
Where: Richfield Ice Arena, 636 East 66th Street, Richfield.
When: February 18th. Game time is 6:00 pm. Please arrive by 5:20 pm to put away your gear (if skating) and watch warmups. Gear will be stored in the ETS Training Room at the front of the rink, and this is also where skaters will change.
Please only register if you know you will attend and would like to skate during intermission. Register by February 12th.

MN Special Hockey is invited to play a game at the North American Pond Hockey Championships on Lake Minnetonka in Excelsior (by Maynards). MSH will be playing on the main rink on Saturday, February 11th from 12:00 to 1:00pm.
A couple things to note about this event:
This is a small rink and small goals. No goalies allowed, but goalies can skate out.
Parking is often challenging.
Changing into gear can be crowded, but they usually find us space.
Most gear is required. Breezers and shoulder pads are optional.
Once again Matt Dumba is offering his Hockey Without Limits Camp! Matt, in partnership with the Minnesota Wild and Minnesota Hockey, is excited to host this event on Monday, February 20th at the John Rose Oval in Roseville, MN. This camp is dedicated to providing an inclusive hockey experience in which new and current players of all ages, abilities, races and ethnicities play the game of hockey together.
MN Wild Special Hockey has been given one session from 9:00am - 9:45am on Monday, February 20th.
Registration closes on Sunday, February 12th. No late registrations will be allowed.
Please do not register unless you are sure you can attend this event.
This is open to both players and volunteers.
If there are too many people who register, a drawing will be held. Everyone will be contacted by Monday, February 13th.
