Skate at the North American Pond Hockey Championship on Lake Minnetonka

Minnesota Wild Special Hockey has been invited to play a game at the North American Pond Championship. The 2019 Beneficiary is the Hendrickson Foundation. The event takes place at Maynard’s on Lake Minnetonka in Excelsior.

12 skaters are needed for the game. The game will also include some celebrities as well. If more players are interested a drawing will be held. Registration must be completed by Sunday January 13, 2019 at noon. Participants will be notified on Monday.  Pond Hockey does not use goals, they have boxes. Goalies can participate as skaters. If you are not selected to skate, please still come to the event and cheer us on. Wear your jersey.

We also need volunteers and coaches to support out athletes.

The game will be held at 12:45pm-1:25pm. Skaters must be ready by 11:45am and arrive dressed in full hockey equipment with skates to be put on in a tent on the ice. There will be a drop-off spot at the Maynard’s parking lot for our athletes starting at 11:20am, Kim and Morgan Kelsey will be there to take the group down to the ice. There is parking across from Maynard’s and in the old Bayview lot for $10.00. The parking fee is a donation to ALS. Otherwise metered street parking is available throughout Excelsior.
