Hockey is for everyone, and this past Saturday Waconia hockey players helped grow the game and the hockey family in more ways than one.

Players from the Waconia Wildcats and Holy Family - Waconia Wildfire boys and girls hockey programs invited MSH-Burnsville out for an afternoon scrimmage and pizza party. Players split up into two joint teams and battled it out head to head at Waconia Ice Arena.

Of note, MSH - Burnsville's Mason Hanson scored a hat trick. Wilson Tinklinberg stepped out of the net for the first time ever and had a great game as a defenseman.  Ultimately, everyone had a great time.

Below are a few photos of the event courtesy Wildcats Hockey. More photos can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/pg/Waconia-HS-Hockey-1963457347226407/photos/?tab=album&album_id=2005137709725037

The fun afternoon showcased hockey's growth as a game and a community, proving that anyone can play. Events like this connect people from different backgrounds with similar interests and has a great impact on everyone involved. As we've grown we have been fortunate to be included in more and more of these kinds of events and are extremely grateful for everyone involved including those that organize them!
