Plenty of time slots still available to help

MNSH was selected as the volunteer organization to host the MN High Performance Tournament at Braemar Arena, April 23-26. Perviously, the tournament showcased the top 15 year old boys and girls. This year games will feature the top 15, 16, 17 and 18 year old girls players. This event is just one reason we are able to continue to keep our costs low. Each year we have participated we have raised about $5000.

We are once again seeking volunteers to help out. This year is expected to be another great event and we really need your help to make sure it is a success.

How do you sign up? Its easy.

You will soon be receiving an email inviting you to a google doc (LINK). To add your name to a time slot, please log in and edit. If you don't have a login for Google contact Susie at mnspecialhockey@gmail.com to sign up. Simply click on the “open in sheets” tab at the bottom. Type your name in the area you are able to volunteer for and close out of the document. It will automatically save your input. Please note there are two tabs/pages. The first page is outside-of-the-rink volunteering. The second page is staffing the actual games. A quick description of the help needed.

MAIN AREA:

Gate Sales: Selling tickets for admission near the front entrance

Players Door: This year we will have a separate entrance for our players, we will need 1-2 volunteers to staff this entrance.

Volunteer Coordinator: We will need someone to check in volunteers and send them in the right direction.

GAME WORKERS:

Locker Room/Penalty Box – This volunteer is the holder of the keys. They will unlock and lock the locker rooms for teams when they are on and off the ice. This person will also open the doors when a penalty occurs

Scorekeeper/Announcer – This person will fill out the scoresheet as well as announce goals and assists.

Timekeeper – This person is responsible for running the clock. (this volunteer should have experience running a clock)

THANK YOU in advance for giving a few hours to help MN Special Hockey raise money and help host this amazing event.
