1. North American (Minnetonka) Pond Hockey - Must Register by Monday February 6th

MN Special Hockey is invited to play a game at the North American Pond Hockey Championships on Lake Minnetonka in Excelsior (by Maynards).  MSH will be playing on the main rink on Saturday, February 11th from 12:00 to 1:00pm.  

A couple things to note about this event:

  • This is a small rink and small goals.  No goalies allowed, but goalies can skate out.
  • Parking is often challenging.
  • Changing into gear can be crowded, but they usually find us space.
  • Most gear is required.  Breezers and shoulder pads are optional. 
If you are interested in skating during this time you must fill out the registration by Monday, February 6th.  If too many players sign up, there will be a drawing to see who will get to skate.  As with all these types of registrations, you will get an email receipt when it is completed.  
 
We would love to see many coaches and volunteers there too!  Let Jane Cashin (jane@mnspecialhockey.org) know if you can make it.

2. Matt Dumba Hockey Without Limits Camp - Must Register by Sunday, February 12th

Once again Matt Dumba is offering his Hockey Without Limits Camp!  Matt, in partnership with the Minnesota Wild and Minnesota Hockey, is excited to host this event on Monday, February 20th at the John Rose Oval in Roseville, MN.  This camp is dedicated to providing an inclusive hockey experience in which new and current players of all ages, abilities, races and ethnicities play the game of hockey together. 

MN Wild Special Hockey has been given one session from 9:00am - 9:45am on Monday, February 20th.  

  • Registration closes on Sunday, February 12th.  No late registrations will be allowed.
  • Please do not register unless you are sure you can attend this event.
  • This is open to both players and volunteers.
  • If there are too many people who register, a drawing will be held.  Everyone will be contacted by Monday, February 13th.  
We would love to see coaches and volunteers there too!  Let Jane Cashin (jane@mnspecialhockey.org) know if you can make it.
 
3. Mound Westonka Special Education Advisory Council 2nd Annual Skate Event

MN Special Hockey is looking for families and leaders to represent our organization at this annual event this Saturday, February 4th from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at the outdoor Shirley Hills rink in Mound.  If you can attend this event for even a short time, please contact Jane Cashin at jane@mnspecialhockey.org.
