MN SPECIAL HOCKEY ASSOCIATION SEEKING COACHES FOR PLYMOUTH HOCKEY TEAM

The MN Special Hockey Association is seeking coaches for our hockey team located in Plymouth, Minnesota. Opportunities to work with special needs athletes where you will be providing leadership and guidance to athletes in the Plymouth area. Successful candidates will encompass: 

• Proven experience in teaching and modeling character and responsible behavior
• Positive, high energy, and committed  

• Partners well with parents, staff, community leaders etc.

• Views success not just as winning, but as helping team members to reach goals 

• COMFORTABLE - All volunteers must be comfortable dealing with people who live with some form of disability. We fully realize that any person’s comfort with this may grow based on increased exposure, but it is important to note

Key Areas of Responsibility: 

• Have Fun.

• Ability to coach in all aspects of hockey operations that include but are not limited to, practice planning, & skill development.

• Ability to engage with players and families appropriately on-ice and off-ice.  

• Ability to commit to 1 practice/games a week on average, on Sundays

• Participate and collaborate across organization for player development opportunities 

• Assist in all other facets of the MN Special Hockey program.
